Last year, I had the honor of photographing my brother and (now) sister-in-law’s July wedding! It took place at Silverdale Baptist Church in Chattanooga, the bride’s hometown. It was such a joy to photograph the precious moments of their wedding day. The wedding consisted of robins egg blue, grays, and creamy white. They used books as centerpieces-any book lover’s dream! The day was full of love, and was such a joy to photograph.

The ring bearer was excited for the wedding and waited in anticipation along with the wedding party. (I am a little partial to this guy)

Rather than sending notes to each other, they sent journal entries. The entries were part of their engagement story where Cole wrote one thousand things he was thankful for. For more of their story, click here.

Then, it was time to celebrate. The simplicity of the cake was lovely, and had stunning capri-colored hydrangeas to match the bouquets. The first dance was sweet and you could see the love in their eyes. Then, all the guests gathered around the newlyweds and were led in a prayerful blessing-which was such an awe inspiring moment. The toast led by the best man caused lots of laughter, and the maid of honor gave a touching speech. Mrs. Burns surprised Mr. Burns with a song that was dear to his heart, which he had performed in China at a youth camp the previous summer.  The night was full of laughter and love for Mr. and Mrs. Burns as well as the guests.
