On March 10, 2014 at 11am I received a call that that a photographer was needed ASAP! I rushed home from Knoxville to Sevierville to grab my gear then headed out to The Barn At Chestnut Springs in Sevierville, TN, forgetting my lunch of a sweet potato on the counter. I had heard of this venue before, but had yet to see it in person. When I arrived I met Melanie, the owner of The Barn at Chestnut Springs, who gave me a quick run down of the order of the day and introduced me to the beautiful bride, Telena, and her bridesmaids. We got right down to business and I began taking photos while my right hand man, aka my darling husband, prepared the lighting for the stunning reception hall.
Telena and her family put so much thought into each carefully placed detail.
They included some family heirlooms to hold a place of honor for those who had passed.
All of the food was beautifully displayed, but to keep you from starving I will just share a few photos of the spread!
It was a gorgeous sunny day, and while Spring was taking its time to bloom, the spring breeze was so relaxing! The backlighting was perfect for bringing out the fine detail in this lovely lace dress.
Once Mitchell and his groomsmen arrived I got to meet them as well.
And while Telena and Mitchell could not see each other prior to the wedding, they did want to hold hands for a moment and a bridesmaid led us in a sweet prayer for the day and their marriage.
Telena made this darling ring box!
Then the ceremony began.
Chase from Smoky Mountain White Doves was there. The couple had been gifted two pairs of doves, one to release during the ceremony, and one pair to hold and release during portraits. Chase knows his doves so well and does a terrific job in guiding in proper handling. Check out his Facebook page as well.
Are these bouquets not darling?! Another project Telena did amazing on!
Next up was the first dance.
I think this outdoor fireplace at The Barn at Chestnut Springs in Sevierville adds a beautiful touch to any wedding or reception! I love how Telena and Mitchell used it for smores and kept with the theme of their wedding!
Up next was the father daughter dance, I am near certain there was not a dry eye!
Then a quick game of corn hole.
The Barn at Chestnut Springs offers a great venue at the foot of the Smokys in Sevierville Tennessee, perfect for small to medium sized weddings! Check out their website or Facebook page and let them know where you heard about their beautiful venue!
Congratulations to Telena and Mitchell! God bless!
