UPDATE: Check out this wedding from Swann Plantation here!
I had the honor of meeting Shari at Swann Plantation this morning and being given a tour of this gorgeous event and wedding venue, right here is Sevierville! As a wedding photographer knowing the location helps tremendously in planning equipment and the flow of the day. Shari was so welcoming, and I have to say her philosophies on business and how she wants the bridal parties to enjoy their day was right in line with me! It was a gorgeous Spring day in East Tennessee today, and I am so glad I got to enjoy it at Swann Plantation! The farm is nearing the finish of being renovated and Shari has a knack for maintaining the history and re-purposing the old and making it new. If you are looking for a Sevierville wedding venue definitely give Shari a call and tour the property! I, for one, am fascinated by history and every piece of this farm is certainly rich in history and she knows every detail!
From the moment you pull into the drive way, the sites are stunning! I have seen this drive numerous times and told my husband I wanted to photograph here!
There are so many details that have been perfectly thought out and placed. I was really impressed with how Shari had looked at each detail from all vendor perspectives.
Is this not the prettiest oven ever?
I loved the fireplaces in every room, they were so ornate and added a wonderful touch to each area.
Also chandeliers, I have a love of chandeliers!
Even the restrooms were pretty enough for pictures!
My favorite room was the bridal suite. This room is so classy and elegant, the color scheme will work with any style wedding and provide many photographic opportunities as well as giving plenty of space for the bridal party to get ready and relax.
View from the bridal suite.
Spring was flooding into bloom as we walked the large property, most of which is fenced.
This large gorgeous barn has more great history and is being transformed into a bar and covered ceremony or reception area.
These stables had some beautiful unique lighting that would make for amazing bridal portraits!
The Milk house was being renovated while I was there but offers a great reception hall and outdoor 2000 square foot deck/dance floor with comfortable yet modern seating and fire pits.
One more thing, and probably my favorite feature, Shari has a goal of making this venue accessible and fun for everyone, even kids! There is a playground and many fenced areas for kids to run and play. She insisted I bring along the kids for our meet up and they had a blast, she was so welcoming and loving to all of us. If you are looking for a wedding venue in Sevierville TN or the Smoky Mountain area, give Shari a call (and let her know where you heard about it)! Check out Swann Plantations Facebook page too!
